Hrodno has three castles: the Old, the New, and the Lower. Archaeologists still study the latter.

Hrodno was one of King Stephen Báthory's favorite residences. He spent his last years here and died in 1586.

In 1398, the Old Castle and the Prince's Palace burned down.

The clock on the tower of the Farny Church dates back to the 18th century.
