Railway Grodno — The City’s Gateway

Before the mid-19th century, this was suburban land.

With the arrival of the railway, the district rapidly developed:

• hotels,
• inns,
• workshops,
• rental houses for railway workers.

Initially mostly wooden, by the late 19th century stone buildings appeared in “railway Art Nouveau” style.
